ListingBott Review: Price, DR Guarantee and Alternatives
ListingBott is a directory submission service from John Rush's MarsX group: you pay once, it picks about 100 directories for your site and submits to them over a month. Every price, promise and number below was checked at its source on 14 October 2026.
A hands-off service with a clear process, 100 live listings promised and a DR guarantee that stops at 15. The dearest 100-directory package we priced: five rivals charge $59 to $249.
Price: $299 one-off at checkout (shown down from $499), or $99 a month for 20 directories. Details
Guarantee: DR 0 to 15 within two months of the report; no prediction above DR 15. The terms
Alternatives: SubmitWell, Submitator, SubmitSaaS, PeerPush, or MentionAgent for article links. Compare
MentionAgent checked the Ahrefs DR of every directory named on ListingBott's homepage. Its 9 partner "premium directories" sit at DR 19 to 35, median 30. On 6 of 8 big ones, its stated DR was within 5 of today's.
ListingBott price and what you get
- One-off package: $299 at checkout on 14 October 2026, struck through from $499 under a countdown that read "ends in expired". The same page shows a ladder: $299 for the first 100 users, $399 for the first 1k, $499 for the first 2k, $999 "after beta".
- What it covers: "100 hand-picked listings", a goal you pick (Domain Rating or awareness), a list you approve first, and a report.
- Monthly plan: $99 for "20 relevant online directories and websites monthly".
- $999 option: "up to 10 extra DoFollow backlinks" from the founder's own blogs, put at DR 30 to 77.
- Not included: "Premium directories or paid options on third-party directories".
- Refund: "Full refund if you're not satisfied", per the homepage. Its /terms and /refund-policy paths returned 404.
How the month runs
Its FAQ: a list of 100+ listings within 1 to 2 days, submissions spread over a month after you approve it, then a report. Indexing takes "up to 2 months", then an updated report, and removed listings are replaced: "we'll replace them for free to maintain our promise of 100 live listings". You own the accounts, made with your email or a new one it hands over.
That live-listing promise is the strongest part of the offer. SubmitSaaS, by contrast, says it does not give you a list of approved submissions at all (compare the services).
The DR guarantee, read closely
Domain Rating is Ahrefs' 0 to 100 backlink score. ListingBott's FAQ:
- "We guarantee a Domain Rating (DR) increase from 0 to 15 within 2 months after the ListingBott report."
- Above DR 15, "we can't predict an exact outcome"; at DR 40+, "significant DR growth from just 100 listings is less likely".
- Short of 15, "we will continue working on your listings until there's a DR increase or we can issue a refund".
So it is a guarantee for new domains only. Past DR 15, buy it for the listings, not a DR number. See how long authority takes to grow.
The directories ListingBott names, checked
The full list is private until you pay ("our intellectual property that can't be shared publicly"). The homepage names some with a DR beside each; MentionAgent looked each up in Ahrefs on 14 October 2026:
| Directory | DR on ListingBott's page | Ahrefs DR, 14 Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Capterra | 93 | 91 |
| Product Hunt | 90 | 91 |
| GetApp | 88 | 85 |
| Software Advice | 86 | 87 |
| Futurepedia | 78 | 73 |
| SaaSworthy | 72 | 75 |
| There's An AI For That | 71 | 77 |
| AI Tools Directory | 65 | 50 |
Its nine "exclusive premium directories", offered as an add-on, are smaller: NextJSStarter.com (DR 35), HostedSoftware.org (34), OSSSoftware.org (32), LowCodePlatforms.org (30), LowCodeNoCode.org (30), AIBlogGenerators.com (29), SAASSoftware.org (27), TopWebsiteBuilders.org (25) and AIToolFor.org (19). The strong directories are mostly free to submit to yourself: see SaaS directories and AI directory submission.
Reviews, and the numbers on its own page
Trustpilot showed 3 reviews and a TrustScore of 4.0 on 14 October 2026; one, from August 2026, is titled "From 0 to 20 DR in three months". The homepage disagrees with itself: "2500+ satisfied customers" and "Over 1000 startup founders used listingbott"; "Over 12000 directories" and "Show all directories (10353)". Judge it on the report, not the badges.
Is ListingBott safe for SEO?
It says its pace is "human-like by design and 99.9% safe". Google's spam policies list "Low-quality directory or bookmark site links" and "Using automated programs or services to create links to your site" as link spam. ListingBott's page says both "Humans submit the listings" and "we launch our bot to publish your business daily for a month". Use the approval step: decline anything that is not a real directory your buyers browse.

1. MentionAgent: links from articles, not listings
Best for: founders who have done the directory round. MentionAgent finds blog posts already covering your topic, finds the editor's email, writes a pitch about that post and sends it from an inbox set up for you. From $99/mo, no per-link fees. The catch: each link depends on a blogger saying yes, so there is no fixed count and no DR promise. See the outreach agent.
2. SubmitWell, Submitator or SubmitSaaS: the same job for less
About 100 directories for $59 to $100, a third of ListingBott's price or less. None of the three promises a set number of live listings. Side by side on directory submission services compared.
3. Do it yourself
Start with software listing sites and a Product Hunt launch. Older web directories: are they worth it.
Directories done? Get written about.
MentionAgent finds blog posts in your niche, emails the person who runs each one and brings you their reply. From $99/mo, no per-link fees.

How much does ListingBott cost?
On 14 October 2026 the one-off package was $299 at checkout, shown as a discount from $499, for about 100 directories submitted over a month. A monthly plan lists you on 20 directories a month for $99. A $999 option adds up to 10 dofollow links from the founder's own blogs. Paid listings on third-party directories are not included.
Does ListingBott guarantee a DR increase?
Only up to DR 15. Its FAQ guarantees a Domain Rating increase from 0 to 15 within two months of its report, and says it will keep working or refund if your site does not reach 15. For sites already at DR 15 or above it says it cannot predict the outcome.
Is ListingBott legit?
It is a working service from John Rush's MarsX group, with a public price, a stated process and a refund promise. Its own claims are inconsistent, though: the homepage says 2500+ satisfied customers in one place and over 1000 founders in another, and on 14 October 2026 Trustpilot held 3 reviews.
Does ListingBott use a bot or people?
Its page says both. One line says AI helps with the research and humans submit the listings. Its FAQ says that once you approve the list, it launches its bot to publish your business daily for a month, and a manager then reviews the listings.
What is the best ListingBott alternative?
For the same job for less, SubmitWell ($59 for 100 directories), Submitator ($79 for 100) or SubmitSaaS ($100 for 100+), all checked 14 October 2026. For links from articles in your niche instead of directory listings, MentionAgent, from $99 a month, which pitches the bloggers directly.
