Charleston Fashion Bloggers: 28 Sites Checked, With Domain Rating and Last Post Date (2026)
Twenty eight sites, opened on 5 September 2026. Nineteen are Charleston sites and their median Ahrefs DR is 6. Only four reach DR 30, three of those being institutions.
The working style blogs: sweetsouthernprep.com at DR 27 and moreewithmo.com at DR 0.5, plus three more behind bot walls.
The list ranking second was published in January 2019 on a site with no working homepage.
Twenty Charleston style and blogger searches, every site opened, a real Ahrefs DR for each, and the last post date read from each site's own feed.
Position one is a PR agency, not a blogger, with a page titled Charleston Top Influencers.
Five sites blocked us, four with a bot wall and one that has no working HTTPS at all.
Blocked sites are reported as not checked. A 403 says nothing about whether anybody is writing.
Charleston has a dense retail scene, a wedding industry and a steady flow of new boutiques, all of which want local style coverage. What they get from a search is a page of PR agencies, magazines and out of town bloggers with one Charleston article, and no indication of which of the actual local writers are still working.
We opened all of it on 5 September 2026. Twenty Charleston style, fashion and blogger searches, every domain collected, each site loaded, a real Ahrefs domain rating pulled, and the last post date read from the site's own feed. The local field turns out to be very small, very low authority, and older than it looks.
How we checked
The searches covered the city terms, the Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island and Summerville variants, and the phrasings people use when they want a person rather than a directory. We removed social profiles, influencer marketplaces and retailer landing pages, then opened what was left.
For each site we recorded the status code, the platform, whether the page exposes a contact or collaboration link, how often it mentions Charleston, Mount Pleasant, the Lowcountry, Summerville or Daniel Island, the domain rating and the newest post its feed reports. Where a site answered with a bot wall, the row says not checked.

Median domain rating across those nineteen is DR 6. Four sites reach DR 30 or above and three of the four are the visitor bureau, the city magazine and the suburb magazine. Strip out the institutions, the agencies and the two real estate agents and the field of actual Charleston bloggers is roughly eight sites, five of which write about style.
The list at position two was published in January 2019
The result sitting second for this search is a post titled 10 Charleston Bloggers To Follow On Instagram. We opened it. Three things are true about it at once:
- It was published in January 2019, seven years before this page.
- The site has no working HTTPS. A request to the secure address fails outright, and the plain address is the only one that serves the post.
- The homepage returns 404. The article ranks while the site around it does not resolve.
Of the bloggers that post links to, one now describes itself as a popular Chicago blog and another as a Connecticut based style blogger. A third last published in March 2024. So the list that a local boutique is most likely to find and copy is seven years old, points at people who have largely left, and sits on a site that half works.
That is not a criticism of whoever wrote it in 2019. It is the ordinary decay of a city list, and it is exactly why we date every figure on this page and recheck rather than copy. The same pattern showed up in our Las Vegas mom bloggers list, where four of the five blogs on the top ranked directory turned out not to be Las Vegas mom blogs at all.
Who else ranks here, and why it matters
Position one belongs to a public relations agency with a page called Charleston Top Influencers. A hair and makeup salon ranks with a post about Charleston fashion blogs. Two real estate agents and a social media agency rank on their local content. None of them is a blogger you can pitch for coverage.
Six more results are national style and travel blogs with one Charleston article: thestripe.com at DR 56, jetsetchristina.com at DR 46, withwonderandwhimsy.com at DR 40, waywardblog.com at DR 30, pintspoundsandpate.com at DR 14, which describes itself as an Indianapolis blog, and opalsandobssessions.com at DR 0.2.
Splitting those three groups apart before you write anything is the difference between a campaign that gets replies and one that does not. The agency wants a client, the magazine wants a press release, and the blogger wants a reason to write. Only the third of those is editorial coverage.
Small sites are not harder to reach than big ones
The usual objection to a list like this is that tiny blogs are impossible to contact. Our own crawl data says the opposite. Across 28,021 domains we have processed, here is how often we found at least one usable contact address, by domain rating:
| Domain rating | Domains | Had a contact address |
|---|---|---|
| DR 0 to 9 | 2,419 | 93.1% |
| DR 10 to 19 | 1,554 | 89.8% |
| DR 20 to 29 | 2,078 | 90.7% |
| DR 30 to 39 | 2,752 | 89.1% |
| DR 40 to 59 | 5,519 | 90.8% |
| DR 60 and above | 9,431 | 91.3% |
The smallest band is the highest, at 93.1 percent, and the spread across every band is four points. The reason is simple: a one person blog publishes its own address because the owner wants the work, while a large publisher routes you through a press office. What differs is not whether you can find an address, it is what happens after you send.
The practical read for Charleston is that the DR 0.5 blogger is reachable, and the DR 73 visitor bureau is the one that will ignore you. If you need help finding the address itself on sites this small, our guide to email finders covers which tools return anything at this size.
How to pitch a Charleston style blogger
- Bring the clothes. Style writers need something to photograph. A gifted piece, a styling session, an early look at a collection. An announcement is not a pitch.
- Say where. King Street, Upper King, Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island read as different audiences to a local writer, and naming the right one proves you read the site.
- Check whether they still publish. Two of the style sites here last posted in April 2026 and several have no readable feed at all. A quick look at the newest post beats any tool.
- Expect the wedding overlap. Charleston style and Charleston weddings are the same audience, and a pitch that works for one often works for the other.
- Skip the ones behind bot walls with a form. Four sites here block automated checks, which usually means they get scraped constantly. A short human email to the published address is the way in.
For the email itself, our influencer outreach templates cover pitching a person, and the guest post pitch template covers the version for when you want to write rather than be written about.
Who should pitch this list
Charleston boutiques and independent labels, wedding and event businesses, salons and med spas, hotels and short term rentals with a design story, and Lowcountry brands in jewellery, stationery, home and coastal apparel. For those, a mention on a DR 6 Charleston blog reaches a genuinely local reader who shops on King Street.
National fashion ecommerce with no Charleston presence should build a topic list instead. The authority here is small by design, the audience is geographic, and the local writers can tell a mail merge from a real invitation on the first line. If you are chasing authority rather than local readers, manual link building against a topic list is the better route.
If you want the list kept current rather than left to decay like the 2019 one above it, that is the job MentionAgent does: find the sites, check they are alive, find the contact route, write the email and follow up. The same method on other cities is in our Orlando mom bloggers and Nashville travel bloggers lists.
Frequently asked questions
Who are the Charleston fashion bloggers in 2026?
The style and fashion writers that rank for this search are sweetsouthernprep.com at DR 27, which describes itself as a Charleston based fashion and style blog, moreewithmo.com at DR 0.5, charlestonobsessed.com at DR 0.6, atouchofteal.com at DR 16 and marleypresswood.com at DR 3.1. The last three answered our request with a bot wall, so we could read their rankings but not their pages.
What domain rating do Charleston blogs have?
Median Ahrefs DR is 6 across the 19 Charleston sites we identified. Only four reach DR 30 or above and three of those four are institutions rather than blogs: the visitor bureau at DR 73, Charleston Magazine at DR 69 and Mount Pleasant Magazine at DR 55. The strongest independent Charleston blog is charlestondaily.net at DR 49.
Is the list of Charleston bloggers at the top of Google current?
No. The result at position two is a post published in January 2019 on a site whose homepage returns a 404 and which has no working HTTPS at all. Of the three bloggers it links to, one is now described as a Chicago blog and one as a Connecticut style blogger. It is a seven year old list on a half broken site, and it still ranks.
Is it harder to find contact details for small blogs?
No, and our own data is clear about it. Across 28,021 domains we have crawled, we found at least one contact address on 93.1 percent of sites at DR 0 to 9 and on 91.3 percent of sites at DR 60 and above. Small sites are marginally easier to reach, not harder, because the owner publishes the address herself instead of hiding it behind a press office.
Who ranks for Charleston fashion bloggers besides bloggers?
A public relations agency holds position one with a page called Charleston Top Influencers, and a hair and makeup salon ranks with a post about Charleston fashion blogs. Neither is a blogger. Six more results are national style and travel blogs with a Charleston article rather than a Charleston base.
Why do several rows say not checked?
Four sites answered our request with a 202 or 403 bot wall and one has no working HTTPS, so we could not load a page to read. We report those as not checked rather than guessing at a last post date. Reporting a blocked site as inactive is how outreach lists end up wrong in the other direction.
