Esthetician Blogs: 39 Sites With Domain Rating and Last Post Date (2026)

September 2026 · Original data from 39 sites we opened and measured

Quick answer

Thirty nine esthetician and skincare professional sites, opened on 6 September 2026. Twenty four published in the last 90 days. Median Ahrefs DR is 26.

Still publishing: cosmosalonstudios.com, euroinstituteofskincare.com, blog.californiaskincaresupply.com, euroskinsource.com and ascpskincare.com are the five most recently updated.

How to reach them: 32 of the 39 homepages carry a contact link, and exactly one site publishes a write-for-us page.

Our data

A page at DR 0 holds position four for this search. The only results above DR 60 on page one are Reddit and Facebook, and no publisher holds a slot at all.

Median DR 26 across 39 sites, with eight below DR 10 and only four at DR 60 or above.

Six independent blogs rank on page one at DR 31, 11, 0, 28, 0.1 and 0. Two of the six stopped posting over a year ago.

Six sites gave no readable feed. Those are reported as not checked, never as inactive.

Esthetics is a trade of sole practitioners. Most of the people writing about it are running a treatment room by themselves, teaching at a small school, or selling backbar product to a few hundred licensees. That makes it one of the more genuinely independent corners of the web, and it makes every existing roundup of esthetician blogs unreliable, because a solo practitioner's blog goes quiet the moment the business gets busy and nobody goes back to check.

On 6 September 2026 we ran twelve esthetician and skincare professional queries in the United States, kept every domain that turned out to serve that audience, loaded each homepage, pulled a real Ahrefs domain rating for the host, and read the last published date out of each site's own feed. Everything below comes from that pass.

What we checked, and how

Twelve searches produced 65 unique domains, of which 63 loaded. Twenty four were not serving this audience once we opened them, which left the 39 in the table. The exclusions are the usual shape for a beauty search: large salon booking platforms, a plastic surgery society, an events company, business plan software, a bottled water supplier, an interior design blog and a cosmetic ingredients marketplace.

Each surviving site got three checks on the same day. We loaded the homepage with an ordinary browser user agent and recorded the status, the title, the publishing platform and whether a contact link appears in the markup. We looked up a domain rating for the host. Then, rather than guessing at activity from a footer year, we asked each site for its WordPress posts API, then a series of common feed paths, then a sitemap carrying modification dates, and took the newest date any of those gave back.

Thirty three sites returned a real date. Six did not, and those are marked No feed found rather than inactive. Two of the six are Shopify stores, where a blog exists but the feed is not where a crawler expects it. A missing feed is missing data. It is not evidence that a blog is dead, and conflating the two is the flaw in most of the lists already ranking for this term.

The 39 sites, with domain rating and last post

Sorted by how recently each one published. The six at the bottom exposed nothing readable, so their activity is unknown rather than zero, and they are ordered by domain rating instead. Ratings were pulled on 6 September 2026 and will drift.

A page at DR 0 holds position four

This is the most useful thing in the whole crawl, and it is the reason we picked this search apart.

The ten results for esthetician blogs on the day we checked ran DR 31, 11, 32, 0, 95, 28, 0.1, 0 and 100. The two results above DR 60 are Reddit and Facebook. Strip those two out, because you cannot compete with a forum thread by writing a better one, and the remaining seven results run DR 31, 11, 0, 28, 0.1 and 0. There is no publisher, no magazine, no aggregator and no directory anywhere on the first page.

Position four is held by euroskinsource.com with a page titled 10 Great Esthetician Blogs and Websites to Explore. That domain carries a rating of 0. A site with effectively no link authority is ranking fourth for a commercial search because it is the only page that has actually tried to answer the question. Position seven is a skincare studio at DR 0.1 and position eight is an independent blog at DR 0 that last published in September 2020.

For anyone weighing whether to write here, that is about as clear a signal as search offers. Authority is not the gate on this term. The gate is whether anyone has done the work recently, which is the same conclusion we reached about link outreach targets generally: check the page, not the domain.

Twenty four of thirty three are still active

Of the 33 sites that gave a real date, 24 had published within 90 days of 6 September 2026. Four had gone quiet for between four and eleven months, and five had not posted for over a year.

The dormant five are worth naming because two of them rank. thewholisticesthetician.com sits at position eight and last published on 25 September 2020, six years ago. lemonloungeskincarestudio.com sits at position seven and last published in July 2025. Away from page one, blog.lumenis.com has been silent since January 2018 despite carrying DR 73, and theskincareprofessionals.com and skintechnique.com both stopped during 2025.

The active 24 divide cleanly into three groups: schools and training providers, product lines and suppliers selling into treatment rooms, and trade bodies or insurers. Genuine independent practitioner blogs are the smallest group of the four on page one, and two of those four have stopped. That is the honest state of this niche: the commercial sites publish reliably and the solo practitioners do not, because the solo practitioner is booked out doing facials.

How soft this niche actually is

Across the 39 sites, median Ahrefs DR is 26. The full spread runs 0, 0, 0.1, 0.8, 2.5, 2.9, 2.9, 9, 10, 11, 11, 11, 13, 14, 14, 14, 17, 19, 23, 26, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 32, 32, 36, 36, 38, 45, 51, 56, 58, 64, 66, 73 and 73.

Eight sites sit below DR 10 and 23 sit below DR 30. Four reach DR 60 or above: probeauty.org and blog.lumenis.com at 73, ascpskincare.com at 66 and insurebodywork.com at 64. Every one of those four is an association, an insurer or a device manufacturer. Not one of them is a blog in the sense a reader would mean, and none of them holds a page one slot for this search.

Compare that with the wider web as we see it. Our prospect database holds 32,578 domains found through live keyword crawls, of which 27,281 carry a rating, and 46 percent of those sit at DR 60 or above. Here it is four sites out of 39, or ten percent. The esthetics trade is small, independent and almost entirely self-published, which means the sites are reachable and the individual links are light. Judge them on the reader, not the number, which is the argument we set out in editorial link building.

Exactly one site takes submissions

Across the 39 sites, one publishes a write-for-us page: estheticiantraining.biz, which runs a guest contributors page at /pages/write-for-us-guest-contributors. It carries DR 2.5.

That is the entire submission infrastructure of this niche. Thirty eight sites have no form, no contributor guidelines, no editor and no queue. It is worth stating plainly because a great deal of guest posting advice assumes a submission process exists somewhere behind every site, and in trades made of sole practitioners it simply does not. What exists is one person who owns the whole business, and placement is a conversation with them.

That changes the pitch. There is no editorial standard to satisfy, so the question is not whether your article is good enough, it is whether it is useful to the person's own clients or students. Our guest post pitch template is written for exactly that, and the subject lines we tested apply, with the caveat that a solo esthetician reads email between appointments and skims harder than an editor does.

Finding an address is the easy part

A common assumption about small independent sites is that reaching them is the hard bit. Our own crawl data says otherwise. Of the 32,578 domains in our prospect database, 27,223 yielded at least one usable email address, which is 84 percent. On this esthetician set specifically, 32 of the 39 homepages carried a contact link right in the markup.

MeasureCountShare
Domains crawled32,578100%
Domains that yielded an address27,22384%
Domains disqualified before pitching3,99212%
Disqualified because the domain is too large2,8719%

The interesting row is the last one. Of everything we disqualify, the largest single reason by a wide margin is that the domain is too big, not too small. Nearly nine percent of everything we crawl gets dropped because a site at that size will not answer a cold email from a small brand, so pitching it wastes a send and depresses the reply rate that tells you whether the rest of the campaign is working.

Applied to this niche, that rule removes almost nothing. Four sites out of 39 sit above DR 60 and they are the association, the insurer and the device maker, which are the ones least likely to reply. The other 35 are exactly the size where a personal email from a real person still gets read. This is a list where the qualifying work is about relevance and freshness rather than filtering out giants.

How to reach them

Thirty two of the 39 homepages carry a contact link in the markup. The seven that do not tend to be product stores where the route in is a support address or a wholesale enquiry form.

The platform split shapes the approach. Twenty one of the sites run WordPress, six run Squarespace, three Shopify, two Wix, one HubSpot and one Drupal, with five not identifying themselves. The Squarespace group matters more than the raw number suggests: it is almost entirely the independent practitioners and small studios, and Squarespace sites typically expose a contact form rather than a published address. A personal note through the form is the realistic first contact for that group.

Two things specific to this trade. First, licensing language is a credibility test. Estheticians are licensed and regulated by state boards, and a pitch that treats them as beauty influencers rather than licensed practitioners reads badly. Second, the schools and the product lines are the reliable responders, because both have someone whose actual job is the website, while a solo studio owner may be a week from opening your email. Our follow-up email templates assume that gap rather than a same-day reply.

Who should actually pitch this list

Being honest about fit saves everyone time. This list is worth working if you sell into the treatment room: professional backbar lines, serums and peels, devices and equipment, gloves and disposables, booking and payment software, liability insurance, continuing education, or salon suite rental. Several of the sites in the table are already publishing for exactly that reader, so the topic fits without any stretch.

It is worth working in a second way that is easy to miss. The schools in this set, five of them, publish to attract students rather than clients, so anything about careers, licensing, financing or starting a business lands with them and not with a studio owner. Those are two different pitches to two groups that a keyword filter will lump together.

It is not worth working if you are a consumer skincare brand hoping for reviews. The audience here is the practitioner, not the retail customer, and a direct to consumer product has nothing to say to someone buying wholesale. If that is you, the retail version of the problem is covered in ecommerce guest posting sites and in our influencer outreach email templates. It is also not worth working for generic authority: 23 sites below DR 30 will not shift a competitive ranking, and guest posting sites or SaaS link building are better starting points for that.

The method is the same one we apply everywhere: find the sites that are alive, read what they actually publish, write one email that could only have been sent to that person, then follow up once. That is what our email outreach guide describes, and it is what MentionAgent runs on autopilot: it finds sites in your niche, checks whether they are still publishing, writes the pitch and sends it from your own domain. If you would rather hand it over, outsourced link building covers that, what a link building service costs covers budget, and what happens when you buy backlinks covers the option we argue against. For keeping a list this size current, see blogger outreach tools, and for the two methods that suit a niche with this many dormant sites, broken link building and resource page link building.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best esthetician blogs in 2026?

Of the 39 sites we opened on 6 September 2026, 24 had published in the previous 90 days. The most recently updated were cosmosalonstudios.com, euroinstituteofskincare.com, blog.californiaskincaresupply.com, euroskinsource.com and ascpskincare.com. For independent writing rather than a brand or a school, kimgalloesthetics.com and enlightenedbeautysacramento.com are the two personal blogs still posting regularly.

What domain rating do esthetician blogs have?

Median Ahrefs DR across the 39 sites is 26. Eight sit below DR 10 and 23 sit below DR 30. Only four reach DR 60 or above, and all four are trade bodies, insurers or a device manufacturer rather than blogs. The independent esthetician blogs on page one run DR 31, 11, 0, 28, 0.1 and 0.

Do esthetician blogs accept guest posts?

Exactly one of the 39 does. estheticiantraining.biz publishes a write-for-us page for guest contributors. Every other site in the set has no submission process at all, which is normal for a niche made up of solo practitioners, small schools and product lines. Everywhere else the route in is a direct email to the owner.

How many websites actually give you a contact address?

More than people expect. Across the 32,578 domains in our own crawled prospect database, 27,223 yielded at least one usable email address, which is 84 percent. On this esthetician set specifically, 32 of the 39 homepages carried a contact link directly in the markup. Finding the address is rarely the hard part of outreach; deciding which addresses are worth using is.

Are esthetician blogs worth pitching for backlinks?

They are worth it if you sell to the treatment room: professional backbar products, devices, gloves and disposables, booking and payment software, insurance, or training. The audience is a licensed practitioner making purchasing decisions for a small business. With a median DR of 26 the links are modest, so judge them on whether the reader buys what you sell.
