Junk Removal Blogs: 33 Sites With Domain Rating and Last Post Date (2026)
Thirty three junk removal, hauling and dumpster rental sites, opened on 6 September 2026. Nineteen published in the last 90 days. Median Ahrefs DR is 27.
Still publishing: everydayjunkremoval.com, wasteadvantagemag.com, junk-360.com, junkluggers.com and goloadup.com are the five most recently updated.
How to reach them: 23 of the 33 homepages carry a contact link. Not one site has a write-for-us page.
This is a barbell, not a bell curve. Eight sites sit below DR 10 and seven sit at DR 60 or above, with almost nothing in between. The strong end is entirely franchises and software.
Nineteen of 27 dated sites published inside 90 days, the highest activity rate of any trade niche we have measured.
Page one is winnable. The ten results ran a median DR of 29, and the only page listing other blogs sits at DR 19.
Six sites gave no readable feed. Those are reported as not checked, never as inactive.
Junk removal is a trade with an unusual amount of writing behind it. Local operators publish because it wins them local customers, national franchises publish because they have marketing teams, and the software vendors who sell dispatch systems to both publish more than either. What nobody publishes is a straight answer about which of those sites is actually maintained and how strong any of them are.
On 6 September 2026 we ran twelve junk removal, hauling and dumpster rental queries in the United States, kept every domain that turned out to be a real operator, supplier or trade title, loaded each homepage, pulled an Ahrefs domain rating for the host, and read the last published date straight out of each site's own feed. What follows is that data and nothing else.
What we checked, and how
Twelve searches produced 54 unique domains, of which 51 loaded. Twenty one were not in this business once we opened them, which left the 33 below. The exclusions were mostly a reminder that the word junk travels badly: three trucking and freight companies, a cold storage warehouse, two marketing agencies with no connection to the trade, an AI advertising tool, a moving comparison site and a neighbourhood social network all showed up in the results.
Each surviving site got three checks on the same day. We loaded the homepage with an ordinary browser user agent and recorded the status, the title, the publishing platform and whether a contact link appears in the markup. We looked up a domain rating for the host. Then we established activity by asking for the WordPress posts API, then a series of common feed paths, then a sitemap carrying modification dates, and took the newest date any of those returned.
Twenty seven sites gave a real date. Six did not, and they are marked No feed found rather than dead. One of those six deserves a note on its own: junktrashremoval.com returned a 403 to our crawler, which means it is blocked to us, not that it is offline. Its domain rating still resolves, so it appears in the table with a rating and no date. Reporting a block as a zero is the single easiest way to make a list like this wrong.
The 33 sites, with domain rating and last post
Ordered by recency of publication. The final six returned nothing our crawler could read, so they appear last, ranked by domain rating, with activity marked unknown rather than assumed. Every rating here was pulled on 6 September 2026 and will move over time.

A barbell, not a curve
Across the 33 sites, median Ahrefs DR is 27. The full spread runs 1.4, 2.1, 2.1, 2.5, 3.3, 4.7, 5, 9, 10, 11, 14, 19, 19, 21, 22, 25, 27, 27, 29, 29, 34, 35, 39, 47, 49, 50, 63, 63, 63, 66, 68, 70 and 71.
Read that spread as two groups rather than one. Eight sites sit below DR 10 and every one of them is a single-city operator: Fresno, Minneapolis, Denver, Nashville, a Florida dumpster firm, a roll-off rental outfit. Seven sit at DR 60 or above and every one of them is a national franchise, a waste software vendor or the trade magazine. Between DR 40 and DR 60 there are only three sites in the whole set.
That shape decides your strategy before you write a single email. The strong domains are corporate marketing departments with an editorial calendar and no reason to answer a stranger. The weak ones are owner-operators who read their own inbox and will reply the same day if what you send is useful to them. Chasing the top of the barbell for authority is the mistake; the bottom of it is where the conversations happen, which is the same argument we make in editorial link building.
The most active trade niche we have measured
Of the 27 sites that gave a real date, nineteen had published within 90 days of 6 September 2026. Five had gone quiet for between four and fifteen months and three had not posted for over a year, the oldest being donotthrowitaway.com in February 2023.
Nineteen out of 27 is a much healthier rate than we normally find. For comparison, our irrigation crawl the same week found thirteen of 23 still active and seven sites dormant for more than a year, including the one ranking first. Junk removal is the opposite: almost everything on page one has been touched this quarter.
The reason is commercial rather than editorial. Junk removal is bought locally and urgently, the customer searches once and books within a day, and every operator knows their blog is a local search asset. So they keep it fed. That makes this a good niche for outreach and a hard one for a stale competitor, which is the useful part: your pitch lands with someone who is actively publishing and has a slot to fill next week.
What page one actually looks like
The ten results for this term on the day we checked ran DR 50, 22, 63, 34, 29, 27, 19, 21 and 63, a median of 29. Two results reach DR 60 and both are franchises. There is no publisher, no aggregator and no directory holding a slot.
One page on that first screen is a list of other blogs rather than a company's own blog: junktrashremoval.com at position seven, titled Top 10 Junk Removal Blogs On The Web Today, sitting at DR 19. That single result is the reason this page exists. When a page at DR 19 can hold a top ten slot with a roundup, the search is not gated by authority, it is gated by whether anyone has bothered to do the work properly.
The rest of the first page is company blogs, which tells you what Google currently thinks the query means. If you are considering a page of your own here, the honest read is that the intent is split and a list has to earn its place by being genuinely more current than the one already there. We wrote up the general version of this test in link outreach.
How to reach them
Twenty three of the 33 homepages carry a contact link in the markup. The remaining ten lead with a phone number and a quote form instead, which is normal for a trade where most enquiries are jobs rather than correspondence.
The platform split is telling. Twelve of the sites run WordPress, three run Drupal, two HubSpot and one Webflow, while fifteen did not identify themselves at all. That last group is unusually large and it is mostly the franchise sites, which tend to run custom platforms managed by an agency. In practice, an agency-managed franchise site means your email reaches a marketing coordinator rather than an owner, and it will be judged on whether it fits a content calendar.
Not one of the 33 sites publishes a write-for-us page. There is no submission queue anywhere in this trade. What exists instead is a person, usually the owner at a local firm or a marketing manager at a franchise, and placement is a conversation with them. Our guest post pitch template is written for that situation, and the subject lines we tested matter more here than usual because a hauler checks email between jobs on a phone.
Role inbox or a real name
Small trade businesses publish one address, so this niche forces a question we can answer with our own data. Across 12,971 sends we could attribute, 7,679 went to a named person and 5,292 went to a role inbox such as info@, contact@, hello@, office@ or sales@. That is a 59 to 41 split, and the role share is higher in the trades than in any other vertical we send to.
| Address type | Sends | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Named person | 7,679 | 59% |
| Role inbox (info@, contact@, office@) | 5,292 | 41% |
Both work, but they work differently. A named address is read by one person who decides. A role inbox is read by whoever is on the phones, and the message has to survive being skimmed by someone whose job is booking jobs, not publishing. The practical adjustment is a shorter first line and a clear reason the message is not a sales pitch, because the default assumption in a shared inbox is that it is one.
Deliverability is the other half of it. Of the same 12,971 sends, 164 hard bounced and 235 soft bounced, so roughly three percent failed to land at all. Small trade domains are more likely than average to have a mailbox that has quietly stopped accepting mail, and sending into a dead address damages your own domain reputation over time. That is why we verify before sending rather than after, and why email warmup matters before any campaign at this volume.
Who should actually pitch this list
Being honest about fit saves everyone time. This list is worth working if you sell to haulers: dispatch and routing software, invoicing and payments, dumpsters and roll-off containers, trucks and hydraulic lifts, disposal and recycling contracts, commercial insurance, or franchise financing. Three of the sites in the table are software vendors publishing for exactly that audience, so the topic is already established.
It is also worth working if you sell to the homeowner behind the job: storage, estate clearance, donation and resale platforms, cleaning services, moving services, home renovation. A local hauler's blog is read by people in one metro who are mid-clearout and spending money that week, which is a small but sharply defined audience. The city lists we publish, such as Orlando mom bloggers and Las Vegas mom bloggers, work on the same logic.
It is not worth working if you want authority for an unrelated product. Twenty sites below DR 30 will not move a competitive ranking and a hauling audience has no use for your software. If that is you, start with the vertical lists under guest posting sites, or SaaS link building for the software version of the problem.
The method is the same one we apply everywhere: find the sites that are alive, read what they actually publish, write one email that could only have been sent to that person, then follow up once. That is what our email outreach guide sets out, with the cadence covered in follow-up email templates. It is also what MentionAgent does on autopilot: it finds sites in your niche, checks whether they are still publishing, writes the pitch and sends it from your own domain. If you would rather hand it over entirely, outsourced link building covers that, what a link building service costs covers budget, and what happens when you buy backlinks covers the option we argue against.
Two methods suit this trade in particular. Franchise sites keep long lists of local partners, which makes resource page link building productive, and the operators who have merged or rebranded leave dead links behind them, which is ordinary broken link building. For keeping a list this size current once you have it, see blogger outreach tools.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best junk removal blogs in 2026?
Of the 33 sites we opened on 6 September 2026, nineteen had published in the previous 90 days, which makes this the most active trade niche we have measured. The freshest were everydayjunkremoval.com, wasteadvantagemag.com, junk-360.com, junkluggers.com and goloadup.com. Waste Advantage Magazine is the only genuine trade publication in the set.
What domain rating do junk removal blogs have?
Median Ahrefs DR across the 33 sites is 27. Twenty sit below DR 30 and eight sit below DR 10, while seven reach DR 60 or above. That upper group is entirely national franchises, waste software vendors and one trade magazine. There is almost nothing in the middle, which is the defining shape of this niche.
Do junk removal blogs accept guest posts?
None of the 33 sites published a write-for-us or contribute page. These are operator and franchise websites, not publications, so there is no submission queue. The realistic routes in are a direct email to the owner of a local firm, or the marketing team at a franchise, and the pitch has to be something their customers would want to read.
Should you email info@ or a named person at a junk removal company?
A named address where you can find one. Across 12,971 sends in our own database, 7,679 went to a named person and 5,292 went to a role inbox such as info@ or contact@, a 59 to 41 split. Role inboxes are unavoidable in the trades because small operators publish one address, but they are shared, which is why a specific and short first line matters more here than in most niches.
Are junk removal blogs worth pitching for backlinks?
They are worth it if you sell to haulers or to their customers: dispatch and routing software, truck and dumpster equipment, disposal and recycling services, insurance, franchise financing, or home services marketplaces. With a median DR of 27 and nineteen sites publishing regularly, this niche is more responsive than most trades, but the links are small and the value is relevance.
