Architecture Write For Us
Six architecture phrasings across four contributor footprints produced 108 candidate submission pages, and 64 verified as live invitations.
45 clear Open PageRank 2. A hand review removed 22 that were agencies, software companies or template sites, leaving 23.
21 candidates were blocked by bot protection, the single largest failure here and the reason no list of this kind is ever complete.
Most of what survives writes about houses, not practice. That is the finding of this vertical rather than a fault in the crawl.
A studio or a small design title often answers from somewhere other than the domain you found it on. Across 25,034 contact addresses in our own database, the address and the publisher part company often.
4,023 of 25,034 addresses, 16.1%, sit on a different domain from the site they belong to. The contact is real, it is simply somewhere else.
312 of them are a free mailbox, gmail and its relatives, which is what a one-person studio blog usually publishes.
Guessing editor@ at the domain you are pitching therefore fails more often here than the domain suggests. Read the contact page rather than building an address out of the URL.
Counted from our production prospect and contact tables on 2 September 2026, across every workspace, on addresses whose domain parses. Our own pool, not a market estimate.
The search write for us architecture returns more candidate pages than any vertical in this batch and one of the more mixed lists. Architecture sits beside interior design, home improvement and real estate in the way small publishers organise themselves, so a page inviting architecture writing is usually a home design site with an architecture category on it.
How this list was built
Four contributor footprints were run against architecture, architects, architectural design, building design, interior architecture and sustainable design. After publishing platforms, press wires and competitor roundups were stripped out that left 108 candidate domains.
Each one was fetched and read, and 64 passed. A page passes only when it is actually asking for contributions, which rules out the many pages that use the phrase while writing about guest posting as a subject.
The 44 failures were 21 blocked by bot protection, 11 off-topic, 7 unreachable and 5 selling placements. Blocking being the largest bucket is unusual in a design vertical and it is worth reading as noise rather than as absence.
Forty-five of the sixty-four cleared Open PageRank 2. Reading each remaining page removed a design marketplace, two software companies, three agencies, an estate agency, a certification body and a set of sites running the same template, leaving 23.

Read the column headings on each site before you pitch. Several of these publish architecture and interiors side by side, and the piece that lands is the one filed under the category the site actually updates.
Why most of this list writes about houses
Practice architecture has very few independent publishers taking contributions. The trade titles that cover it commission their own writing, and the studios that blog are writing about their own projects. What is left, and what this crawl found, is the layer underneath: sites that cover architecture as one category among home decor, remodelling and real estate.
That is not a reason to skip them. A piece about facade materials on a home design site reaches the person choosing them, and the site will publish it. It is a reason to pitch the piece you actually have rather than the piece the domain name suggests, which is the same discipline that business guest posting demands.
The exceptions on this list are worth reading first. A facade technology title, a building information modelling blog and a sustainable design journal all sit in the table, and all three want a specialist rather than a generalist.
What to send an architecture editor
Architecture writing fails on abstraction faster than most verticals. A piece about how design shapes wellbeing says nothing. A piece about what a specific cladding decision cost and how the detail was drawn says something, and it can be checked, which is what makes an editor trust the byline.
Images matter more here than anywhere else in this family. Several of these sites state that submissions without usable photography or drawings go to the back of the queue, and a piece with rights-cleared images attached is a materially easier yes. Our pitch template covers the structure of the email around it.
Avoid the studio announcement. A new project page belongs on your own site, and a publisher who takes it once will not take the next one. If the goal is a link, the article still has to earn its place first, which is the whole premise of editorial link building.
The twenty-one pages we could not read
Twenty-one of the 108 candidates answered our request with a challenge page rather than a submission page. Bot protection is the largest single failure in this vertical, and it is the one that says least about the site behind it.
A blocked page is not a closed door. It is a page we declined to guess about. Several of the twenty-one are recognisable design titles whose invitation is almost certainly live, and a human opening the same URL in a browser will usually see it. We leave them off because the alternative is publishing a row we have not checked, which is how these lists rot.
If you are building your own list, treat a challenge page as an item to open by hand rather than as a rejection. The master list follows the same rule and carries the same gap.
Studio blogs and publications are different purchases
Two kinds of site sit in the table and they behave nothing alike. A publication has an editor, a calendar and readers who arrive without searching. A studio blog has a practice attached to it, publishes when someone has time, and its readers are mostly clients and prospective hires.
The publication is harder to get into and worth more. The studio blog will often say yes within a day, which is exactly why you should look at whether anything on it has been published this year before you spend an afternoon writing.
Neither is wrong to pitch. The mistake is treating them as one list and sending both the same email, which is the failure our guide to link outreach spends most of its time on.
How this list will change
Design sites turn over faster than trade publishers. A home design blog that publishes weekly for a year and then stops keeps its submission page up indefinitely, because nobody takes those pages down. The page stays live, the invitation stays live, and nobody is reading the email behind it.
We re-run this crawl rather than editing rows, so a site that stops answering falls out on its own. What we cannot do is tell you which of the twenty-three will still be publishing next quarter, and any list that implies otherwise is guessing.
The habit that protects you is cheap. Open the site, read the five most recent posts, look at the dates. If the last one is from eighteen months ago, the authority score in the table is describing a site that no longer exists in any sense that matters. We make the same argument in relevant backlinks.
Frequently asked questions
How many architecture sites accept guest posts?
We fetched 108 candidate submission pages and 64 were live and genuinely inviting contributions. Forty-five of those clear our Open PageRank 2 floor, and 23 survived a hand review for being publications rather than agencies, software companies or template sites. Those 23 are the list on this page.
Why is so much of this list home and interior design?
Because that is who publishes. Practice architecture is covered by trade titles that commission their own writing and by studios blogging about their own projects, so the sites open to contributions are the layer underneath: home design publishers who run architecture as one category. The specialist exceptions, a facade title and a building information modelling blog among them, are in the table too.
Do architecture sites charge for guest posts?
Five of the 108 candidates named a price on the page and were excluded for it. That is a lower rate than we found in the trades but not zero. A paid placement is advertising rather than a contribution, Google expects paid links to carry the sponsored attribute, and the risk of not marking them sits with your site.
What Open PageRank should an architecture site have?
We cut at 2.0 to match our master list, but the score is a filter and not a ranking. A facade technology title read by the specifiers you are trying to reach is worth more than a higher-scored home decor site that will file the piece under a category nobody opens.
Should I search write for us architecture or architecture write for us?
Both, because Google ranks a different page one for each phrasing and a small publisher can appear on one and not the other. This page is built to answer either. Every submission page in the table was fetched on 2 September 2026, however the search was typed.
How current is this architecture list?
Every submission page was fetched on 2 September 2026. That date matters more than it looks: on an earlier rebuild of our niche guest-posting pages, 29 of 101 previously published domains failed re-verification after 11 days. Open the page yourself before you write anything.
