AirOps vs Profound pricing

AirOps shows Solo, Pro and Enterprise with no dollar prices. Solo and Pro say "Start for free", and "Our pricing is based on your task volume and specific needs." Solo includes 35,000 tasks and ChatGPT insights only. Pro includes 100,000 tasks, "Insights Across 7+ Answer Engines" and unlimited seats. Extra Solo tasks cost $0.025 each, and its pricing FAQ describes a 14-day free trial.

Profound lists a free trial for brands (50 prompts run daily for 7 days) and custom Enterprise pricing. Agencies pay $399 a month for each full client workspace. More in our Profound review.

AirOps' own comparison post lists Profound as "Starts at $99/mo", with a $99 Starter plan that tracks ChatGPT only. Profound's pricing page doesn't list that plan for brands today.

Which AI engines each tracks

AirOps' docs list ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok and Muse Spark, and collect "one answer per prompt per platform each day". Claude is on by default only for Enterprise workspaces, and "Claude Answers use four times the standard amount". AirOps' own pages also say 5, 7+ and 8 engines in different places.

Profound's Enterprise plan lists "Up to 9 Answer Engines tracked", with prompts run daily through each engine's front end rather than its API. Its pricing page and feature FAQ disagree on whether the ninth is Exa or Grok. AirOps' post says Profound tracks "up to ten" at Enterprise.

Content and outreach

Both write and publish your own pages. AirOps does it with Grids, which run workflows "across hundreds of pages, then publish to your CMS", and pre-built Power Agents "for common marketing and SEO Workflow tasks". Profound's agents "generate optimized drafts, and publish directly to your CMS" after an approval step.

The real gap is mentions on other sites. AirOps launched Offsite in June 2026 to "Run targeted outreach and land mentions on the sites LLMs already trust". Its Platform Approach generates "personalized outreach with ready-to-use publisher copy" for your team to send. The managed version includes "daily publisher outreach and inbox management, content development, negotiation and payment management". AirOps says most customers see initial placements "within 30-45 days".

Profound stops short of sending. For wrong claims about a brand, its homepage says it "drafts a personalized correction" for each publisher repeating them. Its PR page says to "Tailor outreach to authors of top-cited articles in your category". We found nothing on its site saying it sends outreach or places links itself.

Which one ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini name

MentionAgent's AI visibility scans asked ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini buyer questions about AI visibility, GEO and AEO tools between 27 July and 18 October 2026. Across the same 111 answers:

EngineNamed ProfoundNamed AirOpsCited tryprofound.comCited airops.com
ChatGPT (37 answers)5121
Claude (37)10122
Gemini (37)144132
All three (111)296175

In this panel, about five times as many answers named Profound as AirOps. Gemini accounted for 13 of the 17 citations of Profound's pages, from just 37 answers, so treat that split as a hint.

Method: MentionAgent production records, answers marked ok, questions matching AI visibility, GEO, AEO or LLM tracking tools, generated buyer-question panel only. "Profound" matched case-sensitively, so it also counts a sentence that opens with the word. "AirOps" matched as a word, any case. "Cited" means the domain is among the answer's listed sources. 111 answers is a small sample: read it as direction.

A third option: MentionAgent

Neither shows a brand a price up front. MentionAgent asks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini your buyer questions and records whether you're mentioned and which pages they cite.

Then it finds blog posts in your niche and emails each site's owner a pitch about that post, from a warmed inbox on a separate domain it registers for you. It doesn't pay publishers for placements. From $99 a month with a 14-day full refund. It doesn't track Perplexity, Copilot or Google AI Overviews, and it doesn't write your articles. See the outreach agent.

Earn the mentions AI engines repeat

MentionAgent finds blogs in your niche, emails the person who runs each one and brings their reply to you. From $99/mo, no per-link fees.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between AirOps and Profound?

Profound is a visibility tracker first, with agents that publish your own content. AirOps is a content platform first, with visibility tracking and, since June 2026, Offsite outreach to win mentions on other sites.

Is AirOps cheaper than Profound?

Neither publishes a self-serve price for brands. AirOps lists Solo and Pro with a free start and prices by task volume. Profound lists a free 7-day trial and custom Enterprise pricing for brands, and $399 a month per client workspace for agencies.

Which tracks more AI engines, AirOps or Profound?

Both name nine engines somewhere on their sites. On entry plans, AirOps Solo tracks ChatGPT only and Profound's trial tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. AirOps turns Claude on by default only for Enterprise.

Does AirOps or Profound do outreach?

AirOps does, through Offsite: outreach copy your team sends, or a managed service that runs publisher outreach, negotiation and payment. Profound drafts corrections and suggests whom to pitch, but we found nothing saying it sends outreach itself.
