Childcare Write For Us

September 2026 · Every submission page opened and checked on 24 September 2026.

Quick answer

Four phrasings across six childcare terms returned 95 candidate pages. Each was opened, and 23 were live and inviting contributions.

10 cleared Open PageRank 2, the floor our master list uses, and a hand review removed 2.

The table below is 8 sites. Childcare providers publish for local parents and rarely take outside writing, so the open pages belong to parenting and early learning publishers.

33 candidates were blocked by bot protection, the highest share of any vertical we have crawled. We list only pages we could read.

Our data

How long to wait before a follow-up is a question with a measured answer. MentionAgent timed the first human reply on 974 conversations as of 24 September 2026.

The median reply came 9.2 hours after the pitch. A quarter arrived within 1.8 hours, and three quarters within 38.5 hours.

67.2% replied within a day and 84.5% within three days. Only 7.3% took longer than a week.

So a publisher that has not answered in three days is unlikely to answer the first email at all. That is the point to follow up once, not the point to wait longer.

Counted from MentionAgent's production send and message tables on 24 September 2026, across every workspace, from first send to first non-spam inbound. Replies under 10 minutes were excluded as likely autoresponders. Our own sending, not a market benchmark.

Childcare is a vertical where the businesses do not publish to outsiders. A daycare or preschool writes for the parents within driving distance, and it has no reason to host a contributor. The sites that do invite pitches sit one step away: parenting magazines, mom blogs and early learning publishers whose readers are the same parents choosing care.

Open PageRank runs from 0 to 10 on a logarithmic scale. We show it because anyone can check it, and it tells you nothing about whether a parent in your area reads the site.

How this list was built

The footprint search ran four phrasings against six terms: childcare, child care, daycare, early childhood education, preschool and nanny. After stripping publishing platforms, press wires and competitor listicles, 95 candidate domains remained.

23 passed. Of the 72 that failed, 33 were blocked by bot protection, 29 were off-topic, 6 were unreachable and 4 were selling placements. Blocked means we could not read the page, so it is left off rather than guessed at.

Why the hand review removed two sites

Both passed every automated check. One was a general workplace and relationships site that runs a guest post page for every category it can name, parenting included. The other publishes bedtime stories for children to read, which leaves nothing for a childcare piece to sit next to.

Neither is harmful. Both are places where a post about choosing a daycare would be read by nobody who is choosing a daycare, which is the only test that matters here.

Parent sites and educator sites want different pieces

Most of the table writes for parents: mom blogs, a Bay Area parenting magazine, and sites on raising young children. They want the decision a parent is facing, such as how to compare two centres, what a first week looks like or what to ask on a tour.

A smaller group writes for people who teach or care for children: early learning activities, art projects, classroom ideas. They want something a provider could use on Monday. The same childcare brand can pitch both, but not with the same article.

What to send a parenting or early learning editor

Specifics a parent cannot find on a provider's own website get read: real costs by age group, how a waitlist actually moves, what staff ratios mean in a room. Advice to trust your instinct does not, because every parenting site already has that post.

Keep the centre or app out of the body. These editors will usually allow a link in the author biography and very rarely inside the advice itself.

Our guest post pitch template covers structure, and the subject line guide covers getting the mail opened.

When to follow up with a childcare site

Two thirds of the replies in MentionAgent's records arrived within a day and 84.5% within three. If one of these eight has not answered in three working days, send one short follow-up that adds something new, a title option or a data point, and then move on.

With eight sites, the list runs out fast. General parenting and family publications take childcare subjects framed for their readers, and the master list covers every niche we have verified. Our follow-up templates cover the second email.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there only eight childcare sites on this list?

Because only eight cleared every check. Of 95 candidates, 23 had a live contributor page, 10 met the authority floor, and a hand review removed two that had no childcare readership. Daycares and preschools publish for local parents and almost never accept outside writing, so the open pages are parenting and early learning sites.

How recently was this childcare list checked?

Every submission page was fetched on 24 September 2026. Contributor pages close, start charging or disappear without notice, so the date is on the page and the list is re-crawled rather than carried forward.

How long do childcare and parenting sites take to reply?

Across 974 conversations in MentionAgent's own outreach, the median first human reply came 9.2 hours after the pitch, 67.2 percent within a day and 84.5 percent within three days. Only 7.3 percent took longer than a week, so follow up once after three working days.

Can a daycare or preschool write a guest post?

Yes, and the directors and teachers at one are the writers these editors want most, because they can describe what parents cannot see from outside. Write for the parent making a decision, keep the centre's name to the author bio, and pitch the parenting sites in the table rather than other providers.

Is childcare write for us the same search as parenting write for us?

They overlap, but parenting pulls in a much larger and more general population, much of it lifestyle sites with a parenting category. This crawl searched six childcare and early learning terms instead, so the table leans towards sites where childcare is the subject rather than one tag among many.
