Dental Write For Us

September 2026 · Every submission page opened and checked in September 2026.

Quick answer

Four phrasings across six dentistry terms returned 100 candidate pages. Every one was opened, and 43 were live and genuinely inviting contributions.

12 cleared Open PageRank 2, the floor our master list uses. A hand review removed 3 more.

The table below is 9 sites. That is a short list and it is short honestly: dentistry has fewer open contributor pages than any consumer vertical we have crawled.

24 candidates were blocked by bot protection and 23 were off-topic. Blocked is recorded as blocked, never as dead.

Our data

Reply rates get quoted per email, which flatters them. MentionAgent counts per domain instead, because two contacts at one publication are one opportunity, not two.

As of 22 September 2026 our sending has reached 16,401 distinct domains and 1,478 of them have replied. That is a 9.0% reply rate per domain.

Counted per contact instead, the same campaigns would read higher, because a publication with three listed editors can answer once and score three times.

Nine percent is the realistic planning number for cold outreach to publishers. A short list of nine sites will not, on those odds, return nine conversations.

Counted from MentionAgent's production send and conversation tables on 22 September 2026, across every workspace, deduplicated on the recipient domain. Our own sending, not a market benchmark.

Dentistry is the hardest vertical in this batch to build a list for, and the reason is structural rather than editorial. Most dental content online is published by practices for their own patients, and a practice blog has no reason to take a contribution. What remains is a thin layer of consumer health magazines and a couple of genuine profession-facing titles.

Why the dental list is short

Nine rows is the smallest table in this batch and we would rather publish nine real ones than pad it. Of 100 candidates, 43 had a working contributor page, and only 12 of those cleared the authority floor our master list uses.

The shape of the vertical explains it. Practice websites dominate the search results, and a practice publishes to reach patients in one city. It gains nothing from an outside contributor and almost none of them invite one.

The hand review then removed three more: a directory of guest-post sites, a product site with an empty contributor path, and a general contributor page with no dental writing behind it.

The scale is logarithmic, so the gap between 2.0 and 3.0 is wider than it reads. We publish it because anyone can verify it, not because it says whether a placement will reach a patient or a peer.

Clinical claims are what gets a dental pitch rejected

Health publishers carry a duty their lifestyle counterparts do not, and it shows in the guidelines above. Several require a citation for any clinical statement, and at least one asks who reviewed the piece before submission.

This is the single most common reason a dental submission is turned down. A paragraph claiming an outcome, written without a source, will fail even when the rest of the piece is good and the writer is a practising dentist.

Write to that standard from the first draft. Adding citations after an editor asks is slower than writing them in, and by then the piece has already made its first impression.

Patient-facing and profession-facing sites want different pieces

The consumer health magazines in this table publish for people deciding whether to get a treatment. They want plain language, costs and what the appointment is actually like.

The profession-facing titles publish for dentists. They want technique, materials, practice management and the parts a patient would never read. A piece aimed at the wrong one reads as condescending or as impenetrable, and there is no middle draft that satisfies both.

What to send a dental editor

Send something only a clinician could write. A complication you managed, a materials comparison you actually ran, or a costed account of adopting a new workflow will be read. A general guide to brushing will not, because every practice site already has one.

Keep the promotion out of the body. These publishers will usually allow a link in the author biography and almost never inside a clinical paragraph, which is the same boundary the fitness titles hold.

Our guest post pitch template covers the structure, and the subject line guide covers getting it opened.

When nine sites is not enough

At a nine percent reply rate per domain, a list of nine is a handful of conversations at best. If dentistry is your market and you need more than that, the honest next step is to widen the subject rather than the list.

General health and wellness titles will take a dental piece framed for their readers, and there are far more of them. Our health guest posting sites page covers that population, and the master list covers everything we have verified across niches.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there only nine dental sites on this list?

Because only nine cleared every check. Of 100 candidates, 43 had a live contributor page, 12 of those met the authority floor, and a hand review removed three that were a directory, an empty path and an off-topic contributor page. Padding the table with practice blogs that do not accept contributions would make it longer and useless.

How recently was this dental list checked?

Every submission page was fetched on 22 September 2026. That date matters: on an earlier rebuild of our niche guest-posting pages, 29 of 101 previously published domains no longer verified after 11 days, because the page had gone, started charging or closed to contributions.

Do I need to be a dentist to write for these sites?

For the profession-facing titles, in practice yes, or you need a named clinical reviewer. The consumer health magazines will take a writer who cites properly. Several guidelines above ask for a citation on any clinical claim, and that is the most common reason a dental submission is rejected.

What reply rate should I expect pitching dental sites?

MentionAgent's own sending has reached 16,401 domains and 1,478 have replied, which is 9.0 percent counted per domain. We count per domain rather than per contact because two editors at one title are one opportunity. On a nine-site list, plan for one or two conversations.

Is dental write for us the same search as dentistry write for us?

They return overlapping but different pages, which is why this crawl ran six terms including dentist, dentistry and oral health rather than one. The dentistry phrasing leans slightly more profession-facing and the dental one slightly more consumer, and both draw on the population verified here.

Where else can a dental brand get published?

General health and wellness publications, which are far more numerous and will take a dental subject written for a lay reader. Our health guest posting sites page covers that pool, and the master list covers every niche we have verified. Widening the subject is usually more productive than waiting for a ninth dental site to appear.
