Our data

DR 50 to 70 sites that named a price in reply to MentionAgent outreach asked a median $130. Collaborator's public preview listed its three sites in that band at $40 to $80.

Collaborator prices

Each publisher sets its own price. The homepage counted 44,968 websites and 3,286 Telegram channels. Without an account you see a masked preview of five sites:

DR shownPrice
72$91
70$80 (with a 15% discount badge)
58$50
51$40
20$90

Each listing also shows an unlabelled second amount (+$10 to +$25).

Commissions and fees

Collaborator FAQ answer: Collaborator charges a 10% commission on deposits and a 15% commission on withdrawals; a refund of topped-up funds needs a refund request to support and can only be issued to the same payment method used for the original deposit
Collaborator's FAQ answer to "What Is Collaborator's Commission?", 18 October 2026: a cut on the way in, another on the way out.

An older $1-a-day charge on inactive accounts no longer applies: its FAQ and terms say it was discontinued on 10 February 2024.

The guarantee: 3 months free, 12 months for 10%

  • Free: 3 months' cover if the site stops responding or the article disappears.
  • Extended: 10% of the placement fee (writing included) for 12 months, covering deletion and non-indexing. It must be chosen when you order and "cannot be added afterward".
  • Payout: credited to your Collaborator balance; it tries to fix the problem within 25 days, then refunds within 7 more.
  • Limits: offered only on sites it has "an established relationship" with, and withdrawn for sites in Russia and Belarus.

How a deal works

You filter the catalogue (it advertises 70+ parameters), can message the owner, and pay; the money is frozen until the post is up. You then have 72 hours to approve, after which the deal is accepted automatically and the publisher is paid. Publishers may not switch a link to sponsored or noindex afterwards unless you ask.

Collaborator reviews

On Trustpilot on 18 October 2026 Collaborator scored 4.2 from 250 reviews, 76% of them 5 stars and 13% 1 star. Trustpilot's AI summary of recent reviews says reviewers praise the interface and support team.

Google's spam policies list "Exchanging money for links, or posts that contain links" as link spam unless marked rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow". Each publisher sets its site's link type, so check it before you buy.

What DR 50-70 sites ask directly

MentionAgent emails bloggers asking for an editorial mention, and some reply with a price. Sites at Ahrefs DR 50 to 70 that named a one-off dollar price, 4 June to 18 October 2026:

DR 50 to 59DR 60 to 70
Median price asked$100$182.50
Asked $90 or less40%28%

Across the band the middle half asked $71 to $271, and 11% asked $500 or more. Two of Collaborator's three preview prices in this band ($40 and $50) sit below that middle half, before its 10% deposit commission and any guarantee.

Method: MentionAgent production records, link-building workspaces only. Each domain counts once at the lowest one-off dofollow US-dollar price in its first priced reply, read by hand; recurring placements and non-dollar quotes are left out. Collaborator doesn't say whose DR it shows, so treat the bands as close, not identical.

Collaborator alternatives

1. MentionAgent: no deposit, no commission

MentionAgent finds blog posts on your topic and the author or site owner's email, writes a pitch about that post and sends it from a warmed inbox on a domain it registers for you. You approve emails before they send, or turn on auto-send, from the dashboard, Telegram or any MCP client. From $99/mo with a 14-day full refund.

The catch: each link depends on a blogger agreeing, so you can't order a set number.

2. Link Publishers, Adsy or FATJOE

For another catalogue, see our Link Publishers review and Adsy alternatives. To let a vendor pick the sites, see FATJOE alternatives, or how much backlinks cost across vendors.

No balance to top up

MentionAgent finds blogs in your niche, emails the person who runs each one and brings their reply to you. From $99/mo, no per-link fees.
