What this list leaves out, and why
Every niche list on this site comes out of one crawl. That crawl loaded 647 submission pages and kept 320; 26 of the survivors are education sites. Here is where the rest went:
- 132 had no working submission page. The URL 404’d, timed out, or redirected to the homepage. A submission page that bounces you to the homepage is a dead page wearing a live one’s clothes.
- 35 sell placements. Their own pages quote a price, an editorial fee, or a sponsored rate. A link you pay for is a paid link no matter what the invoice says, and search engines treat it that way. If you want to buy links anyway, you do not need our list to find them.
- 160 blocked our crawler. We could not read the page, so we cannot tell you it is live and we did not list it. That is a limit on what we can see, not a verdict on the site.
- 2 of the 26 education sites were below our authority floor. They accept guest posts and they are free, but at an Open PageRank under 2 a link is unlikely to move anything. They are real options if you are starting from zero and want the practice.
How to pitch these sites without wasting the send
Education submission pages tend to be written by someone who also teaches, and they are specific. Expect a stated word count, a list of subjects covered too often already, and a rule about whether a link can sit in the body or only in the author bio. One crawl feeds every niche list: of 647 submission pages we loaded, 320 were genuinely asking for contributions. 26 of those are education sites, and 24 of them cleared our authority threshold.
What does the Open PageRank column mean?
Open PageRank is a free authority score running from 0 to 10. We publish it because it is a real number rather than one inherited from an older list. It is not Domain Authority or Domain Rating, and it is a rough guide only: whether the site reaches teachers, students or administrators matters more than the score.
Will a guest post on these sites actually help my rankings?
An education link is worth having when the site’s readers are the people who choose what you sell, which in this sector is often not the end user.
