What this list leaves out, and why
Every niche list on this site comes out of one crawl. That crawl loaded 647 submission pages and kept 320; 31 of the survivors are travel sites. Here is where the rest went:
- 132 had no working submission page. The URL 404’d, timed out, or redirected to the homepage. A submission page that bounces you to the homepage is a dead page wearing a live one’s clothes.
- 35 sell placements. Their own pages quote a price, an editorial fee, or a sponsored rate. A link you pay for is a paid link no matter what the invoice says, and search engines treat it that way. If you want to buy links anyway, you do not need our list to find them.
- 160 blocked our crawler. We could not read the page, so we cannot tell you it is live and we did not list it. That is a limit on what we can see, not a verdict on the site.
- 2 of the 31 travel sites were below our authority floor. They accept guest posts and they are free, but at an Open PageRank under 2 a link is unlikely to move anything. They are real options if you are starting from zero and want the practice.
How to pitch these sites without wasting the send
Travel submission pages are unusually blunt about what they refuse. Most set a word count, many rule out listicles outright, and nearly all of them say something about first-hand experience. Reading that page before you write is what separates a considered rejection from silence.
Then pitch a destination, not a subject area. Naming where you went, when, and what surprised you gives an editor something to picture; naming a category gives them another form submission to skim past. The crawl behind this list turned up 35 sites charging for placement and we left them out rather than listing them unmarked, because a paid link is a paid link whatever the invoice says. How was this list put together?
We searched the phrases sites use to advertise for contributors, then loaded every submission page and read it. A site is only listed if the page returned successfully and was actually asking for contributions on August 23, 2026. One crawl feeds every niche list: of 647 submission pages we loaded, 320 were genuinely asking for contributions. 31 of those are travel sites, and 29 of them cleared our authority threshold.
What does the Open PageRank column mean?
Open PageRank is a free authority score from 0 to 10. We show it because it is a real number we can point at rather than a figure inherited from another list. It is not Domain Authority or Domain Rating and it is only a rough guide. Whether a blog’s readers book trips like the ones you sell matters more than the score.
Will a guest post on these sites actually help my rankings?
A travel link earns its keep when the blog’s readers travel the way your customers do. One post on a site your buyers already read beats ten on general blogs with no overlap.
