For links you do not pay per placement for, MentionAgent at $99/mo flat. For permanent marketplace links, PressWhizz or Icopify. For verified traffic, Collaborator. For non-English sites, WhitePress. For a managed trial, Rhino Rank.

Quick comparison
The last column is the question Serpzilla's rentals raise: how long does the link stay? Prices and terms are from each vendor's own site; DR is Ahrefs Domain Rating on 28 September 2026.
| Option | DR | Best for | Starting price | Link lasts |

1. MentionAgent: nothing to rent, nothing to buy
Best for: editorial mentions from sites that do not sell links. Software, not a marketplace.
MentionAgent finds blogs already writing about your topic, qualifies each domain, finds and verifies the editor's email, writes a pitch against the specific post and sends it from a warmed inbox on a sending domain set up for you. You approve drafts and replies in the dashboard or Telegram.
- Price: $99/mo flat, 50 free credits to start, no per-link fees and no daily billing.
- The deal: a contextual mention exchange. They mention you in a relevant post, you mention them in one of yours.
- From your agent: Serpzilla now offers an MCP server and Claude skill for buying guest posts. MentionAgent's MCP server does the other job: it runs outreach, drafts replies and closes exchanges from Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP agent.
- The catch: sites that ask for money are turned down, so it is slower than placing an order.
See MentionAgent pricing and our Claude SEO skill.
2. PressWhizz: permanent links, same speed
Best for: keeping the marketplace model without rentals.
- Price (28 Sep 2026): guest posts from $35, niche edits from $40, no minimum spend, 72,000+ sites stated.
- Permanence: offers are permanent or at least one year; a link removed within its twelve-month guarantee is restored or refunded.
- Refunds: account credit, withdrawable, or to your card on request.
Like Serpzilla, it serves iGaming and other special niches and sells tier-2 packages, so filter carefully. More on our PressWhizz alternatives page.
3. Icopify: a floor under every listing
Best for: buyers who want a stated minimum before they browse.
- Price (27 Sep 2026): listings from $9.99, $25 minimum top-up.
- Floor: DR over 20, Moz DA over 20 with spam score under 20%, 500+ monthly visitors, domain at least six months old.
- Refunds: balance credit if a link is deleted within 180 days.
Serpzilla asks you to set your own thresholds across 40 metrics; Icopify sets a floor for everyone. See our Icopify alternatives.
4. Collaborator: verified traffic
Best for: checking real traffic before you pay.
- Catalogue (27 Sep 2026): 45,109 sites in its public preview, 8,500+ with Google Analytics data and 7,000+ verified through Search Console.
- Filters: 70+ parameters, traffic by country and source, publisher reviews on each listing, plus 3K+ Telegram channels.
Pick it if Serpzilla's estimated traffic numbers are what you distrust.
5. WhitePress: the European catalogue
Best for: non-English markets.
- Catalogue (27 Sep 2026): publications on 147,000+ websites stated, copywriting in 36 languages.
- Products: articles, link insertions, brand mentions, digital PR and a Backlink Manager for tracking what you bought.
- Price: set per publisher, shown after sign-up.
Serpzilla also lists sites by country, but WhitePress builds its copywriting around local languages.
6. Rhino Rank: someone else picks the site
Best for: handing off the vetting, with a refundable first order.
- Price (28 Sep 2026): curated links from $60, guest posts from $75, listicle placements from $135.
- Guarantee: the first order, on any service, is refundable for any reason up to $550.
- Method: outreach-built links, no PBNs stated.
Compare Serpzilla's own managed packages at $1,250 for 5 links. See our Rhino Rank alternatives.
Why people switch from Serpzilla
- Rented links disappear. A rental is billed daily and comes down when you stop paying, so a profile built on rentals is a monthly bill that never ends.
- The floor is not the price. Guest posts start at $5, but Serpzilla's own average is $459 for a guest post and $1,200 a link at DR 60+.
- The reviews disagree. Serpzilla's site says users rate it 4.9 out of 5. Google's listing for its Trustpilot page showed 2.5 out of 5 from 12 reviews on 28 September 2026.
- "No commissions", but a commission. The pricing page promises no platform fees or commissions, while its FAQ offers referrers 25% of the platform commission. The margin sits in the listed price.
- Google's view of bought links. Links bought for ranking are a spam risk whether they are rented or permanent. Our buying backlinks guide covers what you take on.
What publishers quote directly
MentionAgent emails the people who run blogs and asks for an editorial mention, not a paid post, so any price in a reply is the publisher's own opening ask. Two cuts from those replies, recorded between June and September 2026, bear on how Serpzilla prices things.
Link insertion against guest post. 55 publishers quoted both in the same reply. The insertion was cheaper for 41, the same price for 8 and dearer for 6. The median insertion cost 0.73 of that publisher's guest post (median quotes $120 and $150). Serpzilla's published averages, $225 and $459, put an insertion at 0.49 of a guest post, so on Serpzilla the insertion looks like the bargain; asked directly, the gap is smaller.
Time-limited links. 26 publishers quoted a link or listing priced per month or per year, the same idea as a Serpzilla rental. Four quoted a 12-month price and a permanent price side by side, and permanent cost between 1.5 and 3.3 times the 12-month price:
| Publisher (DR) | 12-month link | Permanent link | Permanent costs |
|---|---|---|---|
| fangwallet.com (71) | $100 | $150 | 1.5x |
| cadsoftusa.com (62) | $30 | $100 | 3.3x |
| mappingmegan.com (48) | $250 | $400 | 1.6x |
| explorewitherin.com (27) | $150 | $250 | 1.7x |
Over two years, permanent was the cheaper buy at three of the four; at cadsoftusa.com it takes more than three. Serpzilla's rentals average about $10 a month against permanent niche edits from $15, though not on the same pages, so run the same sum before you rent. More direct prices on how much backlinks cost and niche edits pricing.
Method: replies classified as a paid offer, with the quoted price stored as text from 4 June 2026. A pair counts when one reply names both a standard guest post and a standard link insertion price in dollars; sensitive-niche, nofollow and truncated quotes are excluded, and each publisher counts once.

Serpzilla review: what it does well and badly
Serpzilla gives its contact address as Nicosia, Cyprus, and its FAQ says it has been on the market for more than 15 years. It is a two-sided platform: publishers list pages, and buyers filter them on 40 metrics and order.
- Good: prices are visible before you pay, funds are only charged once a placement is confirmed, a guest post link not indexed within 90 days is refunded in full, and permanent placements carry a one-year guarantee. The catalogue is large: 150,000+ media sites stated, with 44,858 guest post placements under $100 on 28 September 2026.
- Good: the pricing page publishes its own averages by DR, traffic and niche, which few marketplaces do.
- Bad: the cheapest inventory is thin. By Serpzilla's own tier table, placements under $25 sit on sites around DR 4 to 13 with 300 to 3,000 visits a month.
- Bad: rentals, sitewide packs and tier-2 formats are built for volume link building, the kind Google's spam policies name.
- Mixed: self-reported ratings of 4.9 out of 5 against 2.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot from a small sample of 12 reviews.
