1. MentionAgent: links you do not buy

Best for: getting mentioned on the sites that never list on a marketplace. Software, not a marketplace.

Every site you can buy on PressWhizz is, by definition, a site that sells links. MentionAgent goes after the rest: it finds blogs already writing about your topic, qualifies each domain, finds and verifies the editor's email, writes a pitch against the specific post and sends it from a warmed inbox on a sending domain set up for you. You approve drafts and replies in the dashboard or Telegram, or from Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP agent.

  • Price: $99/mo flat, 50 free credits to start, no per-link fees.
  • The deal: a contextual mention exchange. They mention you in a relevant post, you mention them in one of yours.
  • The catch: it is slower than an order. Sites that ask for money are turned down, and only about one reply in ten ends in a yes.

See MentionAgent pricing and backlink exchange platforms for how this differs from a swap pool.

2. Serpzilla: the lowest floor, plus rented links

Best for: the lowest price per placement.

  • Guest posts (28 Sep 2026): from $5 a placement across 150,000+ media sites stated, published in 1 to 7 days, fully refunded if the link is not indexed within 90 days.
  • Rented links: from $1 a month at DR 40. The link stays only while you keep paying.
  • Fees: no sign-up, subscription or platform fees stated.

Google treats links bought for ranking as a spam risk, rented or permanent. Our buying backlinks guide covers that risk.

3. Icopify: a published listing floor

Best for: a minimum standard under every site.

  • Price (27 Sep 2026): listings from $9.99, $25 minimum top-up.
  • Floor: publishers need DR over 20, Moz DA over 20 with spam score under 20%, 500+ monthly visitors and a domain at least six months old.
  • Refunds: balance credit if a link is deleted within 180 days.

The floor removes the worst sites; it does not prove the rest are good.

4. Collaborator: the most data per site

Best for: checking verified traffic before you pay.

  • Catalogue (27 Sep 2026): 45,109 sites in its public preview, 8,500+ with Google Analytics data and 7,000+ verified through Search Console.
  • Filters: 70+ parameters, traffic by country and source, publisher reviews on each listing. It also lists 3K+ Telegram channels.

A smaller catalogue with connected analytics beats a larger one where traffic is an estimate.

5. Loganix: someone else vets the site

Best for: buyers who want links but not the vetting work.

  • Price (28 Sep 2026): managed guest posts from $200 (DR/DA 30+) and $400 (niche sites); niche edits $200 and $400; its own marketplace of 30,000+ listings alongside.
  • Guarantee: a free replacement if a link drops within six months. Refunds are mostly account credit.

You pay several times the marketplace floor for a team that checks traffic history, content and outbound links. Our Loganix alternatives page sets its tiers against direct publisher quotes.

6. Rhino Rank: a managed trial with money back

Best for: trying managed links without risking your money.

  • Price (28 Sep 2026): curated links from $60, guest posts from $75, listicle placements from $135.
  • Guarantee: the first order, on any service, is refundable for any reason up to $550.
  • Method: outreach-built links, no PBNs stated.

See our Rhino Rank alternatives page for its limits.

Why people switch from PressWhizz

  • The vetting is on you. 72,000+ sites is a lot to filter, and the catalogue includes special-category and tier-2 inventory, with packages it describes as PBNs and web 2.0s.
  • Refunds come back as credit. Cash to your card is available, but only if you ask support.
  • The margin is not visible. Buyers are told there is no markup, and publishers are told PressWhizz takes no cut from their payout. Both can be true only if the listed price already sits above what the publisher receives.
  • Every site on it sells links. Some buyers want mentions from sites that do not.

What happens when you ask instead of buying

MentionAgent's outreach asks site owners for an editorial mention in a relevant post, never a paid placement. Between 7 March and 28 September 2026, 2,488 distinct domains replied. This is how each domain's thread ended up:

Outcome, per replying domainDomainsShare
Agreed to a mention, or proposed a deal, without payment24910.0%
Named a price and never agreed to anything else27411.0%
Declined2239.0%
Spam or off-topic reply2439.8%
Asked questions, forwarded us, or went quiet1,49960.2%

Links on 54 of the 249 agreeing domains are confirmed live so far; the rest are in progress or stalled. Another 45 domains named a price at first and still ended up in a free deal. The threads behind our live exchanges ran to a median of 8 messages. Asking reaches sites a marketplace never will and costs nothing per link; buying is faster and certain. For how to ask well, see our link outreach guide and link insertion outreach.

Method: conversations with at least one inbound reply, grouped by replying domain. "Agreed" means a thread classified as agreeing, proposing a deal or confirming a link, or with a live exchange; "named a price" means a reply classified as a paid offer or carrying a quoted price. Categories are exclusive in the order shown.
