LinkDR Alternatives: 7 Options Compared on Price per Link
LinkDR sells managed backlinks priced by DR floor, from $160 a link at DR 30+ to $500 at DR 60+, with the publisher paid out of that price and links live in three to four weeks. Below are seven alternatives, each checked on the vendor's own site on 30 September 2026.
Same model at the same price: Respona. Cheaper managed links: Rhino Rank, from $60. An AI agent that pitches blogs instead of buying placements: MentionAgent or BacklinkGPT. Choosing every site yourself: PressWhizz.
LinkDR entry price: $160 a link at DR 30+. Seeing the site before it goes live costs 20% more.
Same tiers elsewhere: Respona charges $160, $240, $400 and $500, exactly LinkDR's four tiers.
Publishers who quoted MentionAgent directly asked a median $115 at DR 30-39, where LinkDR starts at $160, and $200 at DR 60+, where LinkDR charges $500. 62 of those 73 DR 60+ quotes were $500 or less.

1. MentionAgent: an agent that asks instead of buying
Best for: founders and marketers who want mentions on blogs in their niche for a monthly fee rather than a price per link.
MentionAgent searches for blog posts already covering your topic, checks each domain, finds and verifies the editor's email, writes a pitch that refers to that specific post and sends it from a warmed inbox on a sending domain set up for you. The default ask is a contextual mention exchange: they mention you in a relevant post, you mention them in one of yours. You approve drafts and replies in the dashboard, in Telegram, or from Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP agent.
- Price: from $99/mo for one sending inbox, up to $629 for eight, with no per-link fees. The free trial shows you real drafts for your site before you pay.
- When a site asks for money: you choose whether the agent asks for their terms, says you are open to paying, or declines. The agent never agrees to a price itself; any payment is between you and the site.
- The catch: every link depends on a blogger saying yes, so you cannot order four DR 40+ links for a set date the way you can with LinkDR.
Pick it if the per-link price is why you are looking. See MentionAgent pricing or how the outreach agent works.
2. BacklinkGPT: an agent that sends from your inbox
Best for: owners who want outreach to go out from their own email address and are prepared to pay sites that ask.
- Price (30 Sep 2026): plans from $149/mo, with a free preview and no card required.
- How it works: you connect your work email and the agent pitches from it. You approve every pitch until you let it send on its own, and every payment to a site waits for your approval.
- Timing: it says first links usually land in weeks three to six.
Pick it if sending from your own address matters to you. Disclosure: BacklinkGPT competes directly with MentionAgent.
3. Respona: LinkDR's price list, with a placement guarantee
Best for: buyers who want the same done-for-you model with a written guarantee and a discount for volume.
- Price (30 Sep 2026): $100 per placement at DR 20+, then $160 at DR 30+, $240 at DR 40+, $400 at DR 50+ and $500 at DR 60+, the same as LinkDR's four tiers.
- Guarantee: every placement you order goes live within the agreed timeframe. Standard turnaround is 28 days, or 14 for an extra fee.
- Volume: 10% off at $3,000 a month, 20% at $5,000, rising to 60% at its highest spend. Pre-approving every domain costs extra, as it does at LinkDR.
Pick it if you would pay LinkDR's prices anyway and spend enough each month for the discount, or want a DR 20+ tier.
4. Rhino Rank: managed links from $60
Best for: keeping the hands-off model for less than LinkDR's $160 entry tier.
- Price (30 Sep 2026): curated in-content links from $60, guest posts from $75, listicle placements from $135.
- Guarantee: your first order, on any service, is refundable for any reason up to $550.
- Method: links built through outreach, with no PBNs stated.
Pick it if you want to test a managed vendor with your money protected. Its limits are on our Rhino Rank alternatives page.
5. FATJOE: DR bands with a lifetime link guarantee
Best for: buyers who like ordering by DR and want a guarantee in writing.
- Price (30 Sep 2026): blogger outreach at $81 (DR10+), $108 (DR20+), $135 (DR30+), $243 (DR40+), $378 (DR50+) and $513 (DR60+).
- Against LinkDR: $25 cheaper at DR 30+ and $22 cheaper at DR 50+, but $3 dearer at DR 40+ and $13 dearer at DR 60+. The real saving is the DR 10+ and 20+ bands, which LinkDR does not sell.
- Guarantees: a lifetime link guarantee and a money-back guarantee are stated; delivery from 14 days.
Pick it if you want lower-DR links cheaply, or a lifetime guarantee on higher ones. More on our FATJOE alternatives page.
6. Authority Builders: the same $160, with a traffic guarantee
Best for: buyers who care more about a site's real visitors than its DR.
- Price (30 Sep 2026): guest posts from $160, the same as LinkDR's DR 30+ tier.
- Guarantee: if the linking site gets fewer than 1,000 visits a month, you get a refund and keep the post.
- Payment: it invoices once a publisher has confirmed the placement, where LinkDR takes payment before matching a publisher.
Pick it if you want to pay LinkDR's entry price with a traffic floor written into the deal. Full prices and terms in our Authority Builders review.
7. PressWhizz: pick the site, pay marketplace prices
Best for: buyers who want to see and choose every site, which LinkDR charges 20% extra for.
- Price (30 Sep 2026): guest posts from $35, niche edits from $40, no minimum spend, 72,000+ publishers stated.
- Refunds: account credit when an order cannot be completed, which can be withdrawn or returned to your card on request.
- Watch out: its tier-2 service includes PBNs and web 2.0s. You do the vetting.
Pick it if you can judge sites yourself and want the lowest price per placement. See our PressWhizz alternatives page.
Why people switch from LinkDR
- Every link is a paid placement. LinkDR's pricing FAQ lists "publisher payment" in each link price. Google's spam policies count buying links for ranking purposes as link spam unless the link carries a nofollow or sponsored attribute.
- You pay before you see the site. LinkDR matches publishers after payment. Approving each site before placement adds 20%.
- Changing vendor at the same DR tier saves little. Respona charges LinkDR's exact prices, and FATJOE is within $25 at every tier LinkDR sells. The bigger savings are lower DR tiers, a marketplace, or not paying per link at all.
- The guarantee covers delivery, not results. LinkDR's pricing page (1 October 2026) refunds a link that is not live within 60 days and replaces one removed within 12 months, but it states it does not guarantee a position in search results.
- One target page and one anchor setting per order. Every link in an order points at the same URL, according to LinkDR's own ordering instructions.
In LinkDR's favour: the price covers finding the publisher, outreach, reply handling, the article, the payment to the publisher and tracking afterwards. There is no plan to buy first, a one-time order is the default, and you can repeat the same mix monthly.
What publishers quote, set against LinkDR's tiers
MentionAgent emails bloggers to ask for an editorial mention, not a paid post, so when a reply names a price, it is the publisher's own opening ask. Between 7 March and 30 September 2026, 2,588 domains replied to MentionAgent outreach and 233 of them named a one-off dollar price. Grouped by the DR floors LinkDR sells:
| DR of the replying site | Sites that replied | Named a price | Median lowest quote | LinkDR's price | Quotes at or under LinkDR's price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30 to 39 | 202 | 38 | $115 | $160 (DR 30+) | 24 of 38 |
| 40 to 49 | 164 | 26 | $135 | $240 (DR 40+) | 17 of 26 |
| 50 to 59 | 217 | 42 | $120 | $400 (DR 50+) | 36 of 42 |
| 60 and above | 525 | 73 | $200 | $500 (DR 60+) | 62 of 73 |
The gap is widest in LinkDR's two top tiers: at DR 50 and above, more than eight in ten quotes came in at or under LinkDR's price, and the median DR 50-59 quote was lower than the median at DR 40-49. Not all of the difference is margin. LinkDR's price covers finding the site, writing the article, paying the publisher and tracking the link, and a direct quote covers none of that. What the quotes do show is that publishers' asking prices rose little with DR, while the tier prices rise steeply. Per-type prices are on how much backlinks cost and niche edits pricing.
Method: MentionAgent's production records. Each replying domain counts once, with its lowest one-off dollar price recorded from 4 June 2026 onward, across any placement type; monthly and yearly prices are left out. DR is the Ahrefs Domain Rating stored when the domain was prospected. Not shown: 474 replying domains under DR 30 and 1,006 with no DR on record.

LinkDR pricing and terms, for reference
Prices on linkdr.com/pricing on 30 September 2026:
| Tier | Traffic range stated | Price per link |
|---|---|---|
| DR 30+ | 100 to 10k visits a month | $160 |
| DR 40+ | 500 to 20k visits a month | $240 |
| DR 50+ | 1k to 40k visits a month | $400 |
| DR 60+ | 1k to 80k visits a month | $500 |
Each price includes publisher matching, outreach, reply handling, a guest post article, the payment to the publisher and dashboard tracking once the link is live. A listicle or product-review article adds 20%, and so does approving each site before placement; publishers are matched after you pay. One-time orders are the default, and you can set the same mix to repeat monthly, with each payment opening a new order. The first one-time order gets $25 off, and LinkDR's agent skill file lists a further $50 first-order code. Placements typically take three to four weeks, and LinkDR states it does not guarantee a position in search results. The pricing page's own example is three DR 40+ links: $720, or $695 after the credit.
Pay a flat fee, not a DR tier
MentionAgent finds blogs in your niche, emails the person who runs each one and brings you their reply to approve. From $99/mo, no per-link fees.

What is the best LinkDR alternative?
It depends on what you want to change. For the same model at the same prices with a placement guarantee, Respona. For cheaper managed links, Rhino Rank, from $60, first order refundable. For choosing every site yourself, PressWhizz, from $35. For an AI agent that pitches blogs instead of buying placements, MentionAgent from $99/mo or BacklinkGPT from $149/mo. All checked on 30 September 2026.
How much does LinkDR cost?
On 30 September 2026 LinkDR charged $160 a link at DR 30+, $240 at DR 40+, $400 at DR 50+ and $500 at DR 60+, with a standard article included. Listicle or product-review content and approving each site before placement add 20% each. The first one-time order gets $25 off.
Does LinkDR offer refunds or replacements?
Yes. On 1 October 2026 LinkDR's pricing page listed a full refund if a link is not live within 60 days and a free replacement if it is removed within 12 months. For comparison, Rhino Rank refunds a first order up to $550 and FATJOE states a lifetime link guarantee.
Is LinkDR white hat?
LinkDR's link price includes a payment to the publisher. Google's spam policies count buying links for ranking purposes as link spam unless the link is marked nofollow or sponsored, so these are paid links whatever the quality of the site. The same policies also list excessive link exchanges, so no route is risk-free; one relevant mention in a real article is the lowest-risk version of any of them.
Is it cheaper to go to the publisher directly?
On price alone, usually. 233 publishers named a one-off price in reply to MentionAgent outreach between June and September 2026, with a median lowest quote of $150; at DR 60 and above the median was $200, against $500 for LinkDR's DR 60+ tier. A direct quote does not include finding the site, the article or tracking, which is what LinkDR charges for.
Can I order links through an AI agent?
With LinkDR, yes: its public skill file lets an agent plan a link mix and send you a checkout link, and you pay on LinkDR's site. MentionAgent works differently: it connects to Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP agent, which can review outreach drafts, answer publisher replies and log deals, with no per-link price.
