Authority Builders Review: Prices, Guarantees and Alternatives

Updated 1 October 2026 · Link Building · By Matt

Authority Builders Co. (ABC) sells guest posts, link insertions, digital PR and managed link campaigns, and is the link service SEO Matt Diggity says he invested in and joined. Every price, guarantee and review below was checked at its source on 1 October 2026.

Verdict

A long-running link vendor with traffic-screened sites and strong guarantees on its product pages. Links cost $160 to $450 each, are paid dofollow placements not labelled as sponsored, and its few recent reviews are split.

Reviews: 4.2 on Trustpilot from 23 reviews. The most recent 1-star (March 2026) reports a $4,250 PR order with no placements. Details

Watch out: its terms of service say all purchases are final, which its product pages do not mention.

Alternatives: MentionAgent (no per-link fee), Rhino Rank (from $60), LinkDR, FATJOE, PressWhizz. Compare

Authority Builders reviews: Trustpilot, testers and Reddit

Trustpilot (read on trustpilot.com on 1 October 2026): 4.2 from 23 reviews, 83% five-star and 17% one-star, with nothing in between. Trustpilot notes the company has not invited customers to review recently, so the sample is small and self-selected. The four 1-star reviews:

  • March 2026: a buyer says they paid $22,250 for Digital PR and ABC+ between October 2025 and January 2026, received no placements on a $4,250 PR package, and found by their own Semrush check that 9 of 80 ABC+ linking domains were under the 1,000-visit floor. They say the company told them the work was completed to the agreed standards, and that they started a chargeback. We found no public reply from Authority Builders under it.
  • October 2024: a customer says their card kept being charged monthly after they asked to stop, and calls the links low-quality PBN links (Authority Builders says it sells no PBN links). Authority Builders posted a public reply two days later.
  • July 2023: a buyer says three months and $3,000 of work failed to produce the backlinks they paid for.
  • March 2022: a review titled "Worst Link Building Company".

These are individual accounts we have not verified. The positive side is also recent: six 5-star reviews were posted between 18 March and 7 May 2026, two of them from customers who say they have worked with Authority Builders for two and three years.

Independent testers. Contentellect bought three links in early 2022, at $320, $400 and $420, and called one of them "an excellent backlink" for its authority and steady organic traffic. That is useful but four years old. A 2026 review on ecommerceparadise.com lists Loganix, FATJOE, The HOTH and Outreach Monks as the main alternatives and flags the masked site names as the biggest drawback.

Reddit. Google lists several r/SEO threads for the brand, including "Anyone tried Authority Builders?", "Is authority.builders good?" and "Is Matt Diggity's Authority Builders Co. sus?". Google dates them two to six years old. Reddit blocked our attempts to load them, so we do not summarise what they say; read them directly, and weigh their age against the 2026 Trustpilot reviews above.

The guarantees, and what the terms say

On its product pages, Authority Builders promises more than most vendors:

  • Traffic guarantee (guest posts): 1,000+ monthly visits on the linking site, "or we give you a refund and you keep the guest post for free".
  • 365-day link guarantee: if a link is removed within a year and it cannot get it live again, it replaces it free or refunds the full price. After a year, it says it will ask the site owner to re-post.
  • Link insertions: placements guaranteed for a year; if one is removed or switched to nofollow, it fixes it or finds a new link in the same DR range.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel after paying the invoice and are refunded minus costs already incurred.

Its terms of service, which name Next Net Media LLC as the operator, say something narrower: no refunds on paid services, "all purchases are final", and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee under which the team works with you to fix the problem. The March 2026 review above is a case where a buyer and the company disagreed about what had been agreed. On any large order, get the deliverables and the guarantee you are relying on written into the invoice or an email.

How ordering works

  1. Pick sites, or let the team pick. You filter the inventory by metrics, price and niche, or choose a package and its team selects the sites. New users see the site names masked; it says it shares them with regular customers.
  2. Send your page and anchor text.
  3. Confirmation, then invoice. It checks with the site owner that your topic is accepted and invoices once the placement is confirmed. Card payment is through Stripe.
  4. Article and live link. It writes the article (or you upload your own) and sends the live URL. Its dashboard logs go-live dates and anchor text ratios.

Most guest posts go live 7 to 10 days after the invoice is paid; its premium editorial links take 4 to 6 weeks. It does not guarantee timings, because it does not own the sites.

Are Authority Builders links white hat?

Authority Builders says it uses no PBNs, places links in niche articles rather than on homepages, and screens sites for real traffic. Two of its own FAQ answers settle what kind of link you are buying: it sells dofollow links only, and it states that no guest post is ever marked as sponsored, with no author boxes or other "red flag signals".

Google's spam policies list "buying or selling links for ranking purposes" as link spam, and say paid links are fine only when marked rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored". A paid dofollow link written to look editorial is the case that policy describes, however good the site. The same applies to every vendor in this market that sells placements, including several alternatives below. For the earned route, see white hat link building.

Its prices next to what publishers quote

MentionAgent pitches bloggers for an editorial mention rather than a paid post, so when a reply names a price, it is the publisher's own opening ask with no vendor in between. Between 7 March and 1 October 2026, 2,601 domains replied to MentionAgent outreach and 236 named a one-off dollar price. Set against each Authority Builders link product at the DR floor it sells:

Authority Builders productIts priceQuotes from sites at that DRMedian quoteQuotes at or under its price
Guest post (entry price)$160181 (DR 30+)$150102 of 181
Link insertion, DR 20+$177202 (DR 20+)$149.50122 of 202
Link insertion, DR 45+$197132 (DR 45+)$15077 of 132
Link insertion, DR 60+$29773 (DR 60+)$20049 of 73
Silver high-authority link$300181 (DR 30+)$150141 of 181
Gold high-authority link$45073 (DR 60+)$20057 of 73

At the entry level the gap is small: a median $150 asked against a $160 guest post, with 102 of 181 quotes at or under it. Authority Builders' price also covers finding the site, writing the article and the traffic guarantee, which a direct quote does not. The gap opens at the top: 57 of 73 DR 60+ quotes were at or under the $450 Gold price, and the median was $200.

One limit: Silver and Gold also require 1,000 and 10,000 monthly visitors, and MentionAgent does not hold traffic figures for these sites, so the DR floor is matched but the traffic floor is not. Per-type prices are on how much backlinks cost, and insertion prices across vendors on niche edits pricing.

Method: MentionAgent's production records. Each replying domain counts once, at its lowest one-off dollar price, recorded from 4 June 2026 onward across any placement type; monthly and yearly prices are left out. DR is the Ahrefs Domain Rating stored when the domain was prospected. Rows overlap, because each compares one product with every quote at or above its DR floor.

1. MentionAgent: mentions without a price per link

Best for: founders and marketers who want links from blogs in their niche for a flat monthly fee.

MentionAgent finds blog posts already covering your topic, checks each domain, finds and verifies the editor's email, writes a pitch about that specific post and sends it from a warmed inbox on a sending domain set up for you. The default ask is a contextual mention exchange rather than a paid post. You approve drafts and replies in the dashboard, in Telegram, or from Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP agent.

  • Price: from $99/mo, domain and inbox included, with no per-link fees. The free trial shows you real drafts for your site before you pay.
  • When a site asks for money: you choose whether the agent asks for their terms, says you are open to paying, or declines and offers the exchange. It is not allowed to name, agree or negotiate a price; any payment is your decision.
  • The catch: every link depends on a blogger saying yes, so there is no catalogue to order from and no guaranteed count per month.

Pick it if the per-link price, or the paid-link risk, is why you are looking. See how the outreach agent works.

2. Rhino Rank: managed links for less

  • Price: curated links from $60, guest posts from $75, listicle placements from $135.
  • Guarantee: your first order, on any service, is refundable for any reason up to $550.

Pick it if you want a done-for-you vendor below Authority Builders' entry price, with your first order protected. Full details in our Rhino Rank review.

3. LinkDR: the same $160, priced by DR

  • Price: $160 a link at DR 30+, $240 at DR 40+, $400 at DR 50+ and $500 at DR 60+, article included. Approving every site before placement adds 20%.
  • Guarantee: a full refund if a link is not live within 60 days, and a free replacement if it is removed within 12 months.

Pick it if you would rather order by DR tier than browse an inventory. Compared in full on LinkDR alternatives.

4. FATJOE: lower DR bands and a lifetime guarantee

  • Price: blogger outreach from $81 a placement at DR 10+, $135 at DR 30+, up to $513 at DR 60+, with writing included.
  • Guarantee: a lifetime link guarantee and a 100% money-back guarantee; delivery from 14 days.

Pick it if you want cheaper, lower-DR links with a lifetime guarantee. See FATJOE alternatives.

5. PressWhizz: pick every site yourself

  • Price: niche edits from $40 on its marketplace.
  • Watch out: no traffic guarantee, and you do the vetting.

Pick it if you can judge sites yourself and want to see each one before paying. See PressWhizz alternatives.

Frequently asked questions

Is Authority Builders legit?

It is a real, long-running company: it says it has worked with site owners since 2016, it is run by Next Net Media LLC, and SEO Matt Diggity says he invested in it and joined its team. On Trustpilot it scores 4.2 from 23 reviews (1 October 2026), but the most recent 1-star review, from March 2026, reports a $4,250 PR order with no placements. Separately, its links are paid placements that are not labelled as sponsored.

How much does Authority Builders cost?

On 1 October 2026: guest posts from $160 a link; link insertions at $177 (DR 20+), $197 (DR 45+) and $297 (DR 60+) a link for a 10-link order; Silver high-authority links at $300 and Gold at $450; a five-placement listicle bundle at $2,200; digital PR from $2,750 a month; managed ABC Plus plans from $1,000 a month; and ABC Platinum campaigns from $3,000 to $12,000 a month.

Does Authority Builders give refunds?

Its product pages promise a refund, and you keep the post, if a guest post site has under 1,000 monthly visitors, plus a replacement or full refund if a link is removed within a year. Its terms of service say all purchases are final and offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee instead. Get the guarantee you are relying on in writing before a large order.

Are Authority Builders links white hat?

No. Authority Builders sells dofollow links only and says no guest post is ever marked as sponsored. Google's spam policies list buying links for ranking purposes as link spam unless the link is marked nofollow or sponsored, so these are paid links presented as editorial ones, however good the site.

Who owns Authority Builders?

Its terms of service name Next Net Media LLC as the company that runs the platform. Matt Diggity writes on his own site that he used the service, invested in it and joined its team, which is why it is often called his link service.

What is the best Authority Builders alternative?

For no per-link price, MentionAgent, from $99 a month, which pitches bloggers for editorial mentions. For cheaper managed links with a refundable first order, Rhino Rank, from $60. For the same $160 entry price by DR tier with a 60-day refund, LinkDR. For lower DR bands with a lifetime guarantee, FATJOE, from $81.
